Getaway with a Holiday in a Traditional Gypsy Caravan in Cumbria

Enjoy a caravan holiday with a difference by visiting Drybeck Farm. Located in Cumbria, we have 2 authentic static gypsy caravans, both set in idyllic locations close to the River Eden. Each of them is in its own private space, with views stretching out across the river to the steep wooded banks opposite. If you are really lucky, you may get a glimpse of an elusive otter. Drybeck Farm is also home to two wood cabins and a yurt.

Evelyn

Evelyn is in the style of a Reading wagon and is the slightly larger of the two. This is nothing like roughing it; soft, warm quilts and bedding are provided in a cosy wooden interior lit with candle lamps, making a delightful romantic retreat for two. On chilly evenings, the wood-burning stove will keep you warm and snug.

Next to Evelyn is its own cookhouse, which has running water as well as a cooker and a fridge. The cookhouse is fully equipped and has a table and chairs underneath a canvas awning.

Ruby

Ruby is a bow-top caravan, and is the perfect place for a couple to enjoy a private retreat for a few idyllic days. It also has a wood-burning stove, warm bedding, and lots of spare blankets, making it very snug and cosy.

Ruby also has is its own cookhouse to the side, which includes running water, a cooker, and a fridge. It is fully equipped and has a table and chairs underneath a canvas awning.
